Adhi went to Chavara Vidya Bhavan in Coimbatore for his formal education. He has an MBA from the Department of Management Studies at the University of Madras in Chennai and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering from the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology in Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu.
Hiphop Tamizha Early Life
After hearing Michael Jackson’s hit “Jam,” he became interested in hip-hop and began writing his own rap tracks, which he then began sharing online. He disguised his success from his parents by creating a YouTube channel under the alias “Hiphop Tamizha” and the likeness of Tamil poet Subramania Bharati. Adhi’s father was first unsupportive of his son’s musical pursuits but eventually came around after hearing some of his recordings. One of the most prominent acts in the industry now is hip-hop Tamizha.
Hiphop Tamizha Career
Within a week of its release, his debut single “Club Le Mabbu Le” had racked up over 2 million views on YouTube. In 2005, he and R. Jeeva and his partner, whom he met on the social networking website Orkut, went on to form the musical trio Hiphop Tamizha. He has participated in music videos like as “Excuse Me Kathali” (2010), “Ezhuvoam Vaa” (2011), “Takkaru Takkaru” (2016), etc., and the group published their first Tamil hip-hop mixtape, “Vishwaroobam Arambam,” in 2005.
In 2013, he collaborated with Remy Martin on an international album titled “International Tamizhan,” which features eight tracks and features American artists Sol and Emcee Call on two of those tracks. Hip-hop Tamizha plays the lead character of Adhithya/Adhi in the 2017 Tamil film he directed, titled “Meesaya Murukku.” Adhi was named “Internet Sensation of the Year” at BIG FM 92.7’s 2013 Big Tamil Entertainment Awards, and he was honoured as “the first artiste to release a Tamil hip-hop album from India” by Mr. Thomas Bain of the World University of Records and Mr. Babu of the India Book of Records.
