Movie team have released a new poster announcing that the shoot of the film has resumed. Rakul Preet Singh in a recent interview said that Kamal Haasan has to wait for 5 hours only for makeup to look authentic as Senapathi and Kamal Haasan is also avoiding breakfast as it might effect his makeup. Director Shankar Shanmugam resumed the shooting of Indian 2 and his project with Ram Charan was put on hold. Producer Subasakaran was dissatisfied with the rising budget of Indian 2 earlier and called off the project with some media controversies between the director and producer. Udhayanidhi Stalin now walked into the project as producer and movie had kick-started it’s shoot again.

Story
In the climactic sequence of the 1996 movie Indian, Senapathi murders his own son before fleeing to another country. Returning to India, Senapthi starts uprooting society once more and makes a vow to purge India of corruption. Where Indian Part 1 left off, Indian 2 continues. Senapathi also uses technology to pick the politicians and bureaucrats to make the country free from corruption.
