Mahesh Manjrekar Early Life
On the 16th of August 1958 (making him 61 years old as of 2019), Mahesh Manjrekar was born in Mumbai. The sign of Leo describes him perfectly. From an early age on, he showed a passion for performing. When Manjrekar was in college, he decided to start acting.

‘Inspector Jamdade’ in the 1992 Marathi film “Jeeva Sakha” was Mahesh Manjrekar’s first acting role. After making his acting debut in the film Vaastav: The Reality, Mahesh went on to star in a slew of other Hindi features, such as Plan, Musafir, Zinda, and Dus Kahaniyaan.
Films like “Aai” (1995), “Vaastav: The Reality” (1999), “Nidaan” (2000), “Astitva” (2000), and “Viruddh” (2000) bear his directorial stamp. He has also given singing a try, lending his voice to the soundtracks of movies like “Kaante” (2002) and “City of Gold- Mumbai 1982: Ek Ankahee Kahani” (2010), among others. He entered the first season of the dancing reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa” in 2006 and finished as the show’s runner-up.
Additionally, he contributed to the Oscar-winning film “Slumdog Millionaire” (2008). Manjrekar appears briefly in the movie “Sanju.” Mahesh has even appeared on “Selection Day,” a Netflix show, in the role of cricket coach Tommy Sir. It was in 2018 that he presided over the debut season of the reality TV show Big Boss Marathi.
