Rahul Raj Education
He attended Bhavans Vidya Mandir, located in Elamakkara, Cochin. He started learning the Mridangam (a South Indian percussion instrument) and Carnatic music at the tender age of six. Before settling in London, he worked as an IT Engineer in Bangalore and Cochin, where he earned certifications as a CCNP and a CCIE. He studied E.S.P. (Electronic Sound Production) throughout his time in London.
Rahul Raj Early Life
On March 17, 1978, Rahul Raj was born to Advocate E. Thankappan and N. S. Kunjoonjamma in Kochi. His sister’s name is Rehna Raj. He collaborated with Indian businessman Pradeep Menon, based in the UK, to rework a 1985 Tamil Ayappa single that Menon and Shashi Kumar had produced, composed, and performed. Sabari Beats is the name of the UK/Canada/Indian devotional CD. Tamil Nadu’s Super recording company published it in November 2002. Pravin Mani, Saroja, and Kamalakar were just a few of the well-known musicians who were showcased. Rahul Raj’s career took off after this. In addition, he collaborated with drummer Sivamani and British composer James Asher to arrange the song “Krishna Krishna” for Pradeep Menon.

Rahul Raj Career
The remix of a well-known devotional Ayappa song that Rahul assisted in producing was the impetus for him to begin a career in music production. The song, which was written by Pradeep Menon in 1985, was reworked and released in India, the United Kingdom, and Canada as part of an album titled Sabari Beats. Pravin Mani, “Kamalakar,” and “Saroja” were just a few of the artists whose voices could be heard on the 2002 album.
When he went back to India, he was immediately hired to write the music for over a hundred different commercials. He’s written in a number of tongues and written music for big TV networks like Amrita TV and Asianet TV. His first film was Anwar Rasheed’s Chotta Mumbai, which also featured vocalist Shankar Mahadevan.
