Sharan Biography

Sharan Education

There isn’t enough information available on the educational qualifications of Sharan. We will update the details as soon as we have any confirmed information about the same.

Sharan Early Life

Sharan comes from a long line of actors and actresses. Both his grandfather and parents were well-known performers at the Gubbi theatre. Shruti, his younger sister, is a successful performer. There is another younger sister in his family named Usha. His parents encouraged him to pursue acting, but before that he had a successful career as a vocalist in an orchestra. He recorded personal worship albums and theme songs for television shows. Sharan’s acting career began with a series on the Doordarshan network. The director of the film Prema Prema Prema, Siddlingaiah, noticed him and offered him a little comedic role after seeing him on a television serial.

Sharan Career

Sharan’s acting debut was a supporting role in Siddalingaiah’s Prema Prema Prema (1996). Since then, he’s appeared in more than a hundred movies, mostly in supporting or comic roles. Films like Friends (2002), Monalisa (2004), Jothe Jotheyali (2006), Pallakki (2007), and Maleyali Jotheyali (2009), among many others, are where his comedic flair first came to light.

Both Rambo (2012) and Victory (2013) were commercial and critical hits for Sharan, and his work in both was much praised. His first film of 2014, Maanikya, featured Sharan in a supporting part. He played both a guy (Jayaraj) and a female (Lalitha) in the comedy Jai Lalitha. G. The film only did so-so at the box office, although critic S. Kumar of The Times of India praised Sharan for her “great mannerisms, line delivery, and body language” in the lead female role. Adyaksha, a romance-comedy and remake of the Tamil film Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam (2013), was his last film of the year.

He played the role of Chandrashekhara Gowda, a villager who causes chaos as president of an association called “Chi Thu Sangha” (“Chinthe Illada Thund Haikla Sangha”) before falling in love with the daughter of a landlord. Critics praised Sharan’s performance, and the film was a commercial and critical success. It became one among the year’s biggest hits in Kannada cinema. He was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Actor because of his performance. In the 2015 film Raja Rajendra, Sharan played the role of Bottle Mani, who agrees to assassinate an elderly member of the royal family for money. Even though the picture was panned by reviewers, his performance was singled out for appreciation.

In the comedy Bullet Basya, he plays both Basavaraj “Basya,” a villager who rides a Royal Enfield Bullet and has a penchant for women, and Muthu, his polar opposite. The film’s theme song, “Kaal Kg Kallekaai,” was sung by him. Critics were generally not positive about the picture. Almost going overboard in his pursuit of comedy, but ultimately doing justice to both characters, is how Bangalore Mirror described Sharan’s performance.

2016 Dana Kayonu “Haalu Kudida Makkale” 2015 Raja Rajendra “Madhyana Kanasinalli” 2015 Vajrakaya “Thukatha Gadabada” 2015 Bullet Basya “Kaal Kg Kallekaai”
