After completing his secondary education at the Government Senior Secondary School in Mumbai, he enrolled in the “CA Institute,” but he chose not to pursue a career in accounting. He then began a “CS (Company Secretaryship) course,” but he left it after six months. He also applied to study at the “University of Texas” in Austin, Texas, but he changed his mind and declined to enrol at the last minute.

Siddharth is the grandson of screenwriter Inder Raj Anand, who wrote several films including the well-known Shahenshah, and the son of producer Bittu Anand. After “Shahenshah,” his father and his childhood friend and fellow actor Rishi Kapoor made two more movies, but neither of them was successful, and as a result of the losses he suffered, his father left the entertainment business and began his own clothing company. His uncle is the well-known Bollywood actor Tinnu Anand.

Siddharth began his career in 2001 as Rahul Rawail’s assistant in the movie “Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi.” I He made his directing debut in 2005 with the Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta-starring movie “Salaam Namaste.” He also had a minor part in that movie.

He co-wrote the scripts for several movies, including “Hum Tum,” “Salaam Namaste,” “Anjaana Anjaani,” etc. He also served as the movie “Hum Tum”‘s executive producer. In accordance with the terms of his contract, he worked on three films for Yash Raj Films, including “Salaam Namaste” (2005), “Ta Ra Rum Pum” (2007), and “Bachna Ae Haseeno.” Due to the fact that they collaborated on four of his films together and their albums all achieved success, he has a great rapport with the music composer “Vishal-Shekhar.”
