Karan Malhotra Career
Early in the 1990s, Karan began working as a cinematographer. He made his directorial debut in 2000 as an assistant on the Hindi movie Pukar. He also worked as an assistant director on the Hindi films “Lajja” (2001), “Main Hoon Na” (2004), “Jodha Akbar” (2008), and “My Name Is Khan” (2010). With the 2012 Hindi film “Agneepath,” for which he received the Zee Cine Award for Special Award Power-Club Box Office, he made his directorial and screenwriting debuts. He has directed numerous Hindi movies, including “Brothers” (2015) and “Shamshera” (2022).
He began production on the Hindi movie Shuddhi in 2016. The novel “The Immortals of Meluha” by Amish Tripathi served as the basis for the movie. When choosing the cast for the movie, the filmmakers had a number of issues to deal with. The movie was later shelved.
