Siddique Biography

Siddique Education

After finishing elementary school in Edavanakkad, he went on to Government Polytechnic College in Kalamassery, where he earned a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. After that, he found work in Thrissur, Kerala, as an Electrical Engineer with the Kerala State Electricity Board. He worked with KSEB for a while and then moved on to other opportunities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Soon after, he returned after having left his previous position. While he was a student at Government Polytechnic College, Kalamassery, he began to realize his interest in and ability to pursue a career in acting. From then, he launched his career as a mimicry artist.

Siddique Early Life

On October 1, 1962, Siddique was born in Edavanakkad, Ernakulam, Kerala, India. He was the youngest of three kids; his brother and sister were the oldest. Following the death of his first wife, he married SHIULI and the couple now has three children (Rasheen, Shaheen and Farheen). Rasheen Siddique, his son from a previous marriage, is now an adult. Shaheen, his second son, debuted in the film Pathemaari. In addition to him, his older brother Adbul Majeed is a well-known face in Malayalam cinema.

Siddique Career

In 1985, Siddique made his acting debut in Thampi Kannanthanam’s “Aa Neram Alppa Dooram.” In the film “Harihar Nagar,” a comedy co-directed by Siddique (director) and Lal, he first gained widespread attention for his performance. Manthrikacheppu (1992), Simhavalan Menon (1992), Kasargode Khadarbhai (1992), Thiruthalvadi (1992), Mughamudra (1992), Kunukkitta Kozhi (1992), and others all fall under the same genre. Parvathy, Shobana, Sunitha, Mathu, and Suchithra are just some of the famous actresses who have shared the screen with Siddique. In addition, he has appeared in films like “Ayalathe Adheham,” “Ekalavyan,” and others in the action genre.

Simultaneously, Siddique also played in the television serials. As Vinaya Prasad in the Sthree serial, he gained a large following among Malayalam speakers. After that, he hosted a musical variety show on Doordarshan called Sallapam. He hosted Sangeetha Samagamam on Amrita TV and Symphony on Kairali TV in the 2000s, two more musical reality shows. As a producer, he made his debut with the movie “Nandana,” directed by Ranjith. Famous actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran and Navya Nair appeared in the film. Films such as Chota Mumbai, Hallo, Nadiya Kollappetta Rathri, Udayon, Vellinakshatram, and more featured him in a variety of guises over the years that followed. Siddique published “Family Facebook,” Kerala’s first family magazine, in 2011. He edits a monthly publication that features in-depth interviews with notable figures from Malayalam cinema.
