Vasan Bala Early Life
Vasan Bala is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter who was born and raised in Mumbai. His father and grandfather were both movie enthusiasts, thus it would appear that writing movies and scripts runs in his family. Vasan was introduced to films such as “Django,” “Mackenna’s Gold,” “Ben Hur,” and “Enter the Dragon,” and got the opportunity to meet renowned director Anurag Kashyap. He was inspired by this encounter, which also stifled his desire to pursue a career in filmmaking. Vasan Bala Career
A film festival called International Critics Week hosted a screening of the movie. When the film’s producer put the script on Facebook, the movie made almost one crore. The movie’s plot pleased viewers at the Cannes Film Festival, who praised Vasan for establishing himself with his first film. ‘Peddlers’ was a nominee for the Cannes Film Festival’s Golden Camera Award as well. In addition to his debut film, he worked as an assistant director on “Dev D,” “Trishna,” and other movies. Vasan has also appeared in small supporting parts in films including “Aamir” and “Ugly.” He demonstrated his skill at writing dialogue in “The Lunchbox” and “Rukh.” With the historical crime drama “Bombay Velvet,” he got his big break in Bollywood. He has written several short films, including “Bunny” and “Geek Out.”
He claimed in a newspaper interview that Anurag Kashyap had been cautious with him and that Peddlers was the film that made him want to collaborate with Vasan. When he claimed that Anurag Kashyap had called him immature, he sounded hurt. On the sets of his films, Vasan and Anurag frequently got into confrontations. Anurag Kashyap was rumoured to have killed his next film, “Raman Raghav,” with his conceited attitude. Vasan Bala was the author of the tale. It was a psychological thriller that was published in 2016 and was based on a serial killer with the same name who was psychopathic. Nawazuddin Siddiqui was portrayed as the deranged serial killer. Although it had its world premiere at Cannes, it is reported to have performed well at the box office and garnered favourable reviews.
