Anubhav Sinha Early Life

Anubhav Sinha was born on Tuesday, 22 June 1965 (age 57 years; as of 2022) in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh, India. Cancer is his astrological sign. His full name is Anubhav Sushila Sinha.  Sinha later worked in Delhi for a period of two years, before coming to Mumbai in 1990.

Anubhav Sinha is the son of Prem Govind Sinha (Father) & Sushila Sinha (Mother) (Mother). Anupam Sinha, his younger brother, is a well-known comic book creator and writer in India. He is Married to Ratna Sinha, who is also an Indian film director. Shlok Sinha is their son as a couple.

Anubhav Sinha Career

Before making his directorial debut with the acclaimed Indian television series “Shikast,” which aired on Doordarshan, Anubhav Sinha assisted the renowned Indian film filmmaker Pankaj Parashar till 1993. Manoj Bajpai and the incomparable Shammi Kapoor, who played the show’s titular character, were just two of the many A-list Bollywood actors cast in the show.

After helming the critically acclaimed drama “Shikast,” Anubhav helmed the UTV series “Sea Hawks,” which premiered on Doordarshan that same year. Anubhav Sinha directed 76 episodes of “Sea Hawks” before moving on to music videos, which he did till the year 2000. His music videos for the songs “Deewana” and “Jaan” were huge hits with fans.

Starring Priyanshu Chatterjee, Himanshu Malik, Amrita Prakash, Raqesh Vashisth, and Sandali Sinha, “Tum Bin” (2001) was his directorial debut in Bollywood. Even though it competed with and ultimately outshone the 2001 picture “Aks,” starring Amitabh Bachchan, it is widely considered to be one of his most successful films to date.

His third picture, the ensemble piece “Dus,” debuted at #8 at the box office in 2005. You may also be familiar with his other well-known works such as Tathastu (2006), Cash (2007), Ra. One (2011), and Tum Bin 2 (2012). (2016). With the release of “Mulk” (2018), starring Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu, he jumped into the genre of films that address societal concerns that are currently pressing in India and around the world. He then made films like “Article 15” (2019) and “Thappad,” both of which feature socially conscious themes.
