He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Green Lawns High School in Breach Candy and his master’s degree in chemistry from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai.
Nikkhil Advani Early Life
Advani’s birthplace is Bombay. His mother is a marketing expert, and his father is a retired executive in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries for a multinational conglomerate. His mother is from Maharashtra, and his father is from Sindh.
He tied the knot with his sweetheart from university, and the two of them eventually had a daughter named Keya. Advani is the great-grandnephew of the late film producer N. N. Sippy and the second cousin of both the actor Tusshar Kapoor and the film producer Ekta Kapoor.
Nikkhil Advani Career
In addition to co-writing the script for Sudhir Mishra’s Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin (1996), Advani worked on the film as an assistant director. Subsequently, he worked under Dharma Productions, the production business of the late Yash Johar, father of Karan Johar.
Advani started his career by assisting Saeed and Aziz Mirza in directing Naya Nukkad. Then, he was an assistant director, and assisted Karan Johar in his first two directorial projects, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. As an actor, Advani appeared in a scene from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai called “The Neelam Show” alongside Farah Khan. He also worked with Aditya Chopra on the film Mohabbatein.
After the release of Patiala House in 2011, Nikkhil Advani has collaborated with Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani to launch Emmay Entertainment, a motion picture production firm. First released on July 19, 2013, D-Day was a film produced by Emmay Entertainment and directed by Nikkhil in collaboration with DAR Motion Pictures.
Nikkhil Advani’s recently released film was Hero, the official remake of Subhash Ghai’s directorial 1983 film of the same name. It went on floors on 18 February 2014. With Salman Khan Ventures, Emmay Entertainment has created the film Hero. Stars Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty make their debuts in this flick. It also stars Tigmanshu Dhulia, Aditya Pancholi, Sharad Kelkar and Vivaan Bathena. Date of Publication: September 11, 2015. and the last production release was Katti Batti starring Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan, a co-production with Disney UTV and being helmed by Nikkhil Advani that released on 18 September 2015.
Emmay Entertainment & Crouching Tiger’s next film Airlift, starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur, based on true-life events of the evacuation of 170,000 Indians from Kuwait during the first Gulf War. The production company T-Series teamed up with the companies Cape of Good, Emmay Entertainment, and Abundantia Entertainment to create Airlift. Production officially kicks off on February 21, 2015, and the picture is set to hit theatres on January 22, 2016.
Ranjit Tiwari, who worked as an associate director for Nikkhil Advani on D-Day, Hero, Katti Batti, Guddu Engineer, and P.O.W.- Bandi Yuddh Ke, directed the prison movie Lucknow Central, which was also produced by Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment. Farhan Akhtar plays the main role.
